Areas of Expertise:
Trauma
Anxiety
Depression
Family of Origin
Identity
Self-Esteem
Codependency
Self Empowerment
Approach:
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, holistic and integrative, with humanistic and person-centered approaches as the foundation and drawing from existentialism, attachment, cognitive-behavior therapy and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (CBT/MBCT), and family systems theories. I use art, creativity, and movement as tools for self-exploration, regulation and expression.
My approach is all about discovering, healing, and growing. It’s about getting to know yourself, what gets you tangled up and stuck, and living in your full potential and your true Self, the one who is wise, whole, and holds your truth, your strength and your voice. It is about learning new tools, skills, and ways to cope. It’s about learning to work with those pesky thoughts that keep you stuck, and getting down to the negative core beliefs and healing those tender parts that need some love, some light, some hope.

Psst..Hey there… ever feel like the world is out to get you?
That you can’t get up from under the heaviness and overwhelm of life? Or that you can’t turn off that inner critic that is telling you need to be more together, more like someone else, more perfect? Or how about that inner saboteur that keeps you from all the wonderful things you envision for yourself but can’t quite make happen?
Do hurts from the past keep you stuck and reliving the same story, the same patterns, same dynamics in your relationships?
Ever feel like a child is running the show in this big scary world?
I so get it. And all of those things, all of those parts of you, are welcome here.
Yep, Me too. Been there.
But I have something I want to share with you…
We are not our hurts, insecurities, our trauma, our shortcomings, our failures (no such thing) those voices that creep in and tell us otherwise. We are not the broken pieces or the sloppy mess we feel like at times. There is so so more in you. You, my friend, are full potential waiting to be realized.
Life has a funny way of challenging us sometimes and I believe you have it in you to take these challenges and transform them into opportunities for growth and healing.
Things WILL get better!
Who I help:
I help adolescents, young-adults, and adults struggling with self-esteem, trauma, empowerment, family of origin issues, codependency, life transitions, anxiety, and depression.
How I help:
I help people feel better by tapping into their own answers within, their strengths and abilities, and help them discover what’s at the core of their hurts, self- limiting behaviors and thoughts, and confusing relationships. I provide practical tools that help my clients function better in their daily life such as strategies for negative self-talk and core beliefs, relational skills, boundary setting, assertive communication, and managing triggers and emotional dysregulation, and most of all, discovering their true Self!
Off the Clock:
When I’m not working you can find me outside playing in my garden, working on a creative project, nerding out on depth psychology, or moving my body through yoga, dance, or long nature walks. I am a people-loving introvert and love spending time with my friends and family and then re-energizing with some alone time and a good book or series. Did I mention that I love animals and my cats Gracie and Remmi?
Fun Fact:
I am a competitive ballroom dancer and artist.
